South Fraser Women's Services Society (SFWSS), also known as Women's Place, is a registered non-profit women's centre which has provided information, resources, and counselling services to women in our community since 1978.
Our former Legal Information and Advocacy Program is now being expanded to become South Fraser Legal - a new services Division.
South Fraser Legal advocates will now be able to provide full-time family law services from our convenient new location.
Our partnering community agencies have agreed to rotate their schedules in order to maintain a continual presence in our office.
All clients accessing South Fraser Legal will be met by a qualified Legal Information Worker who will work with each client to identify their needs and schedule a meeting with the appropriate advocate. The Legal Intake Worker will also be able to assist clients directly with resources and manage SFL's administrative operations.
South Fraser Legal will open in October 2009.
Our mandate is to improve access to justice by providing information and resources for a range of legal issues.
